Withlacoochee State Trail

At 46 miles in length, the Withlacoochee State Trail is presently the longest paved rail trail in Florida. The trail corridor runs through small towns, ranches, and natural areas as it makes its way south from Citrus Springs to Trilby. The trail traverses a region that offers many other outstanding recreational opportunities. Among the recreational highlights nearby are the unpaved trails in the Croom area of the Withlacoochee State Forest, the Withlacoochee River (South) Canoe Trail, and Fort Cooper State Park. The Withlacoochee Trail will eventually join many other trails in the region, becoming part of the Central Florida Loop.

We offer Giant Bicycles.

Come into the shop and check them out! It’s all about the fun. It’s about the science of making bicycles more accessible, more affordable and more capable. Because that’s what makes cycling one of life’s finer addictions—being able to take yourself places with a minimum of effort, powered by legs and lungs, driven by little more than the desire and the willingness to turn those pedals over!

Paddle the Rainbow or Withlacoochee Rivers

Dunnellon Florida is famous for The Rainbow River, The Withlacoochee River and Lake Rousseau. Canoeing, kayaking or paddle boarding these waters are amazing. The Rainbow River is feed by a first magnitude spring that ranks fourth in the state for the volume of fresh water it discharges. As much as 400 to 600 million gallons of crystal clear water flow out of the springs every day. Many springs feed the Rainbow River not just the Headsprings. As you drift down the Rainbow River you can see the separate springs boiling up in many spots if look closely. The Rainbow River is 5.7 miles long and meets at the confluence of the Rainbow and Withlacoochee Rivers in Dunnellon at the city beach. These two rivers form Lake Rousseau. The headwaters of Rainbow Springs are located at Rainbow Springs State Park. Come and explore the waterways our area has to offer.
